Another Tablet? You Bet! Acer Introduces Iconia Tab A500.

Acer announced that the Iconia Tab A500 is available exclusively through Best Buy for pre-order. Beginning April 14, customers can pre-order the tablet from other retailers and, on April 24, it will hit store shelves.

Readers should expect to see a plethora of tablets from various manufacturers over the course of the year, so we’re highlighting the product’s key features.

The A500 will:

• Boast a 10.1-inch multi-touch screen and weigh 1.7 lbs.
• Support WiFi only.
• Feature a front fixed-focus 2.0 MP webcam and a 5.0 MP rear camera equipped with a flash.
• 16GB of flash storage and 8 hours of battery life.
• Run the Android 3.0, “Honeycomb.”
• Offer HD gaming, 720p HD video, fast browsing and comes with two preloaded games and book e-reading applications.

The Iconia Tab A500 also will be priced at $450. Will this be another little engine – or shall we say – tablet that could?
